This article is going to explain the dashboard visible on both the web platform and mobile application.
Dynamic Values
There are 3 figures shown on the dashboard that are dynamic and refreshed every 30 seconds or page reload, whichever earlier.
Total Asset Value - The total value of the crypto you hold on Vauld shown in your fiat currency.
Total Interest Earned - As the name indicates, it's the interest you've earned on Vauld, including earnings from active Fixed deposits and from assets in your wallet. Note - you do not earn interest on fiat currency in your wallet.
This is the fiat value of the selected cryptocurrency in your wallet.
Total Interest Earned
Clicking or tapping on the bubble next to Earned displays the Next Payout Date which will be the next Monday since Vauld credits interest weekly. Interest Paid Out Till Date is the fiat value of the crypto interest that has been credited to your Vauld wallet to date.
Why is there a difference between Total Interest Earned and Interest paid out?
The total interest also includes daily interest earned on the crypto assets in your wallet and inactive Fixed Deposits (FD). However, this interest is paid out weekly, in the case of assets in your wallet, or at the end of the term, in the case of FDs. So there may be a difference in the interest earned and interest paid out because interest is credited only either weekly or at the maturation of an FD.
Interest Rates on Cryptocurrency
The rate of interest shown on the dashboard is the weighted average rate of interest you're earning on the selected token. If for example, we considered ETH, with a base interest of 4.7% and 6.5% on fixed deposit. However, the rate shown here is 4.5% because in this example the user has placed half of their ETH in an FD and the rest in their wallet. If the user was to increase the proportion of their XLM in an FD then the interest rate shown here would also increase. If the user chose to put all their ETH in FDs then the rate shown here would be the maximum of 6.7%.
NOTE: the value of interest might be different than the current value
